Real Madrid: Toni Kroos fueled mockery over Agüero
Ex-international Toni Kroos fired the fan mockery through a statue for the former striker Sergio Agüero.
After it was said in forums that the image in front of the Manchester City stadium saw Croos rather than the Argentinian Agüero, the German professional of Real Madrid also voted in this tenor via Twitter. On a picture of a reporter from the statue with the text “Sergio is here”, the former soccer world champion Kroos only wrote: “Sure?”
Actually, the Agüero statue unveiled on Friday is supposed to represent in its iconic jubilee pose. She shows his joyaumel exactly ten years ago after his most important goal for the Citizens when he marked the winning goal on the last matchday of the 2011/2012 season in added time in the 3-2 against Queens Park Rangers. In a gripping season finale, City won the championship title for the first time in 44 years and still snatched the trophy to the city rival United.
Agüero had to end his career at the age of 33 due to heart problems at the age of 33. The statue, which is located on the east side of the Etihad Stadium, was constructed from thousands of welded parts from galvanized steel. It is illuminated with blue light at night.
